Isn't this a sign of the Apocalypse?

The American Union of Pizza Delivery Drivers

Now I've seen it all.

Personally, if I were the new President of the AUPDD, I'd be negotiating with Domino's concerning CCW, but somehow I get the idea that the concealed handgun carry is probably dead last on their list of demands.

That article mentioned the Wobblies (Industrial Workers of the World), which startled me a bit, as I was somehow under the impression that they folded in the 1920's.

The fact that they are actively trying to recruit fast-food employees doesn't surprise me in the least, though.

Man, socialists turn up in the oddest areas, don't they?

I had no idea either that the Wobblies were still around. The IWW website says they're now in their 100th year. You have to read their mission statement! I guess organizing pizza delivery drivers is their response to a post-industrial workforce. Maybe they'll provide collision and liability for the guys running stop signs.

I guess we're supposed to worry about a pizza delivery strike if they don't get their way...

I don't think the Deliverator (Snowcrash!) would be joining a union.

If they succeed in organizing the pizza drivin' hordes it may be hard to get a pizza at all.
The IWW were know as "The Wobblies" but they had another nickname too, "I Won't Work."

A Pizza Driver's Union?

Um, yeah.... I recall the days I drove pizza. Anyone who wanted to reach into my tip bag for "dues" to a club that didn't involve dining and Clothing Optional entertainment would get nothing more neighborly than a raised eyebrow.

Come to think of it, back when I was driving pizza, I didn't have the money for those places anyway. I guess that put the grasping fingers of the union organizer even further back the line of places for my cash to have gone.
