This man is one of my personal heroes. A veteran Texas Peace Officer who retired after putting in forty -- 40 -- years with the badge, a history major, a Southern Gentleman, educator, hunter, adventurer, storysmith.

Many thanks for the kind words, 'Dog.
I have to plead guilty to some of those titles, I guess - - Too many witnesses still alive.
But to be dubbed "Storysmith" in the same entry with YOUR name, far more BY YOU - - I blush. If only I could claim such a title.
