Ladies and Gentlemen ...

... I give you Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA):

Congresscritter Johnson later explained that his reference to an excess of U.S. military personnel causing Guam to "tip over" was "a facetious metaphor".

Riiight.

Folks ... the face of Government Healthcare.

*sigh*

He sounds drunk. Also his lack of "word skills" as he might say, makes me sick.

Adm. Willard deserves a medal for his poise, patience, and restraint, and free drinks for life for his response, "Uh, we don't anticipate that..."

I shudder to think of the electorate that selected this man to lead them. Oh great, now I'm depressed.

One might say he makes up for his scintillating intellect with the skill of his articulation.

This guy is about 8 miles behind the curve.

And people elected him :P

I'm not defending him, but he is ill with Hepatitis C, and apparently the effects of the disease and the drugs he takes to treat it are the cause of his obvious lack of mental acuity. In that regard, I actually feel sorry for the guy.

That said, anybody who is that intellectually incapacitated owes a debt to his constituency which can only be paid by his resignation from office so that they may have effective representation.

By the way, LawDog, any news on what happened to Cowtown Cop? I've been trying to find an email address or something on your site to ask you, but either I'm drain bamaged, or it's not there.

I used to live in his district. He was Cynthia McKinney's replacement.

He is from a BLACK district in Atlanta. The qualifications for being elected there are
1: You gots ta be black. Check
2: You gots ta be a democRAT. Check 3: You gots ta have a pulse. Check
4: You gots ta have a measurable IQ. Not really, as long as you have 1&2.

A few years back, there was a proposition to drug-test our elected officials. It was voted down.

Now we know why.

You think that's bad? Take a look at this.

Ah, according to NeoNeocon and a couple of other sources, the representative and the admiral are friends and are infamous for their skill at dead-pan humor. Watch their faces closely and you'll see how hard both men are working at trying to keep straight faces.

That said, I used to live in C. McKinney's district during her time there, and had the dubious honor of having her address my college graduation. She lost all but the die-hards in the audience when she informed us that because we had been "granted the privilege" of going to college, we had "a debt to society" to repay such generosity through doing community service. After that, nothing that comes from that district surprises me.

Ah, no. April Fools. Go back and read the addendum to her post.
