Almost universally most officers in my neck of the woods always arrest when given the chance unless the victim/suspect is protecting someone claiming that they did the crime when they didn't. The courts are insanely lenient, however and more than make up for light-hearted criminal charges. First all the way up to third time offenders get charged in muni court which doesn't give them a criminal record. And most of the time they get plea deals to pay half fines or get sentences for 1 or two levels farther down on the crime scale. I saw one jerk who racked up 35 serious law violaton only take three felonies upon court appearance.Rhetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12663022985153231736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22957834.post-1143690327506152542006-03-29T21:45:00.000-06:002006-03-29T21:45:00.000-06:00Great post. Being a peace officer is a high calling, much higher than just being a cop.

You could back me up anytime.Pawpawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14959820068377494313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22957834.post-1143687267606145362006-03-29T20:54:00.000-06:002006-03-29T20:54:00.000-06:00Along with the word MAY comes another OFFICER DISC...Along with the word MAY comes another OFFICER DISCRETION.
